Tami Davis Biddle

Tami Davis Biddle is Elihu Root Chair of Military Studies at the US Army War College (USAWC), Carlisle, PA where she is director of the College’s “War, Policy, and National Security” course. She is the author of Rhetoric and Reality in Air Warfare: The Evolution of British and American Ideas about Strategic Bombing, 1914-1945 and is currently writing Taking Command: The United States at War, 1941-45 for Oxford University Press. She writes frequently about warfare in the 20th century -- in particular the history of the two world wars -- air warfare, grand strategy, civil-military relations, the law of war, and US national security policy. She holds an MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge University, and a PhD in History from Yale University.
